Loooong overdue

Not sure why I decided to start a blog but I suppose that I'm drawn to the anonymous exhibitionism that it offers. That said, here are a few quick non-anonymous facts about me:

1. I am in my (very) early 30s

2. I ADORE fashion

3. I live in Toronto

4. None of the other facts about me, like my boyfriend (loving and loved), my job (well paying but unfulfilling), or my friends (most on or about to get on the babywagon) are not really pertinent to this purpose so I'll leave them out for now.

5. While my intentions are to come back and update this page frequently all the other attempts I've made to keep some sort of a record (read: teen journals) have turned out to be shortlived.

I'm doing this because I love fashion (see #2), clothes (no they are not the same thing) and self expression. This is an opportunity for me to keep a record of what I'm wearing, buying and pining for.

-------------------------------------------------

I have just recently gone through one of my closets (I have 2: one in our master bedroom and the other in the spare bedroom which I have turned into my dressing room) and have literally filled a massive hockey bag (god, Canadian of me) to the poing of bursting with worn, hardly worn and unworn clothes. The idea is to take them in for consignement or sell them on eBay - really hope I get around to doing either of these.

Here are some of the outcasts:
+ DVF, chocolate wool wrap dress, size 2, worn exactly once! (AGHRR! I'm a size 4 now - alough still a 2 in Banana and JCrew - bless 'em!)
+ Petal pink BCBG never worn satiny jacket - love the idea but it's a little too star trecky
+ Miss Sixty cropped jean jacket - little old to be wearing a teen label
+ Rock & Republic jeans - size 26 and flares - not into flares for obvious reasons + Bunch of Club Monaco stuff - not a fan of them anymore
+ Bunch of Banana Republic stuff
+ Bunch of other stuff I can vaguly remember wasting $$ on

So the big idea at the moment is to sell what I can and with the profits either pay down my hurting credit card (really should do this, especially with my recent eBay Mike & Chris leather jacket purchase) or buy one of the new Spring DVF pieces.

--------------------------------------------------

Which brings me to the COVET portion of the blog!

Here are the top 5 items for the week - if you are reading this - let me know how you would rank them:

1. DVF El Shane Dress in Black & White
This would look goergous in the summer with red patent shoe!

2. DVF Ketty Top in Falling Willow
Would look amazing with a skinny cropped black trouser and a great heel!

3. J Crew Lavender Pencil Skirt

Alas this fabulous skirt is sold out on the site! It would look amazing with a white Alexander Wang T and nude heels!
